Healthy Challenge - Day #14 -- Sleep

This is one that I don't struggle with! I love my sleep. There was a time about 3 months ago when we felt no shame in going to bed at 8. That was when Mike and I were waking up at about 5 am to go work out so it ended up evening out.

Most people are staying up way too late to watch their late night TV and it's effecting their health. No one wants to feel bad in the morning so make the choice to go to bed earlier. Set an alarm on your phone for about 20-30 min before you need to go to bed. That will give you enough time to brush those teeth and get ready to climb under those warm covers.

Try to get about 8 hours if you can. Just make sure you are giving your body a chance to adjust to a new sleep schedule. It may take a few nights but it'll pay off.

What things help you get to sleep and achieve a good nights rest?

  1. Getting better sleep has made a world of difference for me. I still need to do better, but I've made it a point to get a little extra sleep the past three nights and I'm amazed at how much better I feel. I love to read at night; a good book puts me right to sleep.

I love hearing from anyone who comes to visit!
