Homemade Fajitas

We love Mexican food! I think we eat it more than anything else. My husband loves it spicy and I've come to love it too.

Fajitas are one of my faves and when that skillet comes out sizzling at a restaurant you know it's going to be great!

We decided to do fajitas our way at home.

First here is my homemade fajitas seasoning recipe:

1 tablespoon cornstarch
2 teaspoons chili powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon sugar
3/4 teaspoon crushed chicken bouillon cube
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/4 teaspoon cumin

We add a lot when we use this but it's up to you and your spicy preferences.

Now we sliced up some veggies- just onion and bell peppers.

Look and my helpful hubby!

Saute those with some butter and salt and pepper.

Let those cook for a bit on low to soften up.

Now we grilled our chicken on the grill first. But you can do whatever you want.

Slice up your cooked chicken and add it to the veggies.

Put in the fajitas seasoning, 1/4 cup of water and stir well. Allow the water to cook off and the seasoning will be well cooked in.

Now grab your favorite kind of tortilla and any topping you like. Cheese, sour cream, hot sauce, etc.

Enjoy and feel free to experiment with your own creative ideas!
