Now we all dread this but it needs to be done!
For me, going to the gym can be intimidating and time consuming. I used to go to the gym before class but that meant showering at the locker room and getting ready there. I just never felt like I could get ready on my terms. So for me that only worked for a little while. If that is your style I condone it 100%!
In high school I paid a lot of money (well my parents did) on a membership at the nicest gym in our area. I would go every morning at about 6 am with my sister in law. It was a great bonding time for us and at the time I was in much better shape than now. Now I'm valuing my sleep more and REALLY cutting back on expenses. However I do miss being able to watch TV while running on the treadmills.
Lately my workout plan has consisted of Jillian Michael's 30 day shred DVD. I'm loving it. I thought I would hate listening to her but it's not bad at all and there is an option to turn off her direction and just have music.
I know there are a million ways to get some exercise. The important this is to just get some form of it. If it's been a long time since you've worked out then just start slow. Work your way into the longer segments. Make sure you are safely elevating your heart rate and getting a sweat -- it'll make the post shower feel so much better!
What ways are you getting some exercise? What makes it easier?
