Desk to Nightstands - Refurbish!

Here we are continuing our furniture refurbish!
Our first gem was my amazing VANITY! Check it out, I'm a little bit in love!
Today we're moving on to:
*Nightstands*

Mike and I moved into a new place and the 'master' bedroom is a bit small but it's still better than our last place. We had a very limited space for nightstands so we had to get creative. We sent measurements to Barbara and she came up with a desk that she could pull apart and make into two nightstands. Talk about a refurbish!

we really had very limited space!

I wish I had a better picture of the desk but it was disassembled before it got to Utah. *Thank you Bill!*

So we got to painting and I got to pick all of the colors. It was a little bit over whelming and I'm not the most decisive person ever but they were all very patient.
I went with a two tone scheme. Heirloom White and a Winter Gray which actually has a lot of blue tones to it!
Away we went painting. This whole piece was sprayed and then you have to wait 1 day before roughing it to get that shabby chic look.

perfect fit!

we decided not to do anything to the handles
because look how great they are!
Very vintage!!

Roughing to get that shabby look is really easy
you can use a sanding block or a power sander.

I'm basically loving these nightstands and I'm so pleased with how they turned out! What do you think?
